"Excellence Academy" CFP: 9 projects selected

Contributing to pedagogical innovation, improving the quality of existing education programs, and promoting the labeled programs at international level are the goals of the Excellence Academy.
Following a 1st call for proposals, launched in early October 2012, nine first education programs have been awarded the “Excellence Academy” label.

The applications were first assessed by an Academic Committee composed of:

- (a) International experts within the five A*MIDEX thematic areas

- (b) representatives of the Aix-Marseille site: either academics (AMU, A*MIDEX partners -Centrale Marseille and Institut d’Etudes Politiques d’Aix-en-Provence)-or socio-economic experts.

Each of the nineteen applications submitted in January 2013 first went through a dual expertise carried out by two experts from the Academic Committee (an internal expert and an international one), with an evaluation grid based on the project compliance with the Academy Charter’s criteria (relevance, competitiveness, selectivity, pedagogical innovation, internationalization, interdisciplinarity and study to work transition), the project’s feasibility and the expected results.

Then each expert received all the evaluations and the Academic Committee on the whole deliberated on May 17th, 2013 to provide the A*MIDEX Steering Committee with recommendations.

In light of these advices, the A*MIDEX Steering Committee met on May 27th, 2013 and unanimously labeled nine projects for the next three academic years (click on the names of the labeled projects to know more about them):
